Sandie Frawley, Director Ed.D., LEP, Lic. School Psychologist,
Dr. Frawley is well recognized in her field and community for her work with Learning Disabled, ADHD, socially and behaviorally-challenged children to include children and teens with Asperger’s Syndrome and Non-Verbal learning Disability. She is a Licensed Educational Psychologist, practicing School Psychologist, Parent Educator, Staff Trainer, University Instructor & Educational Consultant who as 35 years experience working with children, parents, educators & the medical community. She has been in private practice since 1983, with specialization in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD children, the diagnosis of learning challenged children and providing group therapy programs for children and teens. Dr. Frawley has developed a variety of group therapy programs that enhance children’s and teen’s social & emotional development. She has also developed a group program for children and teens with ADHD which includes parent education and support. Parent educational materials, designed to support generalization of newly acquired skills from the therapy room to the home environment, have also been developed by Dr. Frawley.
The following staff members are highly experienced, qualified professionals who hold a variety of degrees, credentials and licenses in psychology, special education, curriculum development, and counseling.
Dr. Nutter is an experienced classroom teacher and practicing school psychologist. She holds a Masters of Science in Special Education as well as a PhD in School Psychology from the University of Oregon. She has conducted research in the areas of early literacy acquisition and classroom based interventions for children with behavioral disorders. Dr. Nutter has presented at national conferences on a variety of topics related to literacy, functional behavioral assessments and developing defensible Individual Education Plans. She is also a Research Associate for the Department of Behavioral Research and Teaching within the College of Education at the University of Oregon. Her research focuses on behavioral and academic intervent9iions for underachieving students and classroom-based assessments designed to identify students at-risk for reading failure. Within our practice, Dr. Nutter facilitates group therapy sessions, the Intensive Reading Intervention Program, and conducts psycho-educational evaluations as well as diagnostic reading evaluations.
