Parent Education
Parent Education classes along with community-based activities have been included in The Life Skills program for purposes of encouraging transference of skills. In order for social skills to transfer from the group therapy session to everyday living experiences, practice along with constructive feedback must occur in the natural environment (home and school settings). Parent reinforcement of skills within the home environment is paramount to the success of the program and ultimate growth of each child.
